For those who have been wondering what would happen this season to Luke Garbutt, wonder no more - he’s been loaned out to lower league side Oxford United for the duration of the 2018-19 season.
✍️ | Good luck to @luke_garbutt, who's joined @OUFCOfficial on loan for the 2018/19 season.

Garbutt, still somehow only 25, made a single appearance on Everton’s bench last season, earning zero minutes. He did, however, make 13 appearances for the Everton U23s, where he scored 3 and assisted 1 more.
It’s unlikely that Luke ever makes his way back to Finch Farm at this point, but we do wish him good luck. It’s been a tough several years for a player who once played in Europe with the Blues.
If there was any lingering doubt, this transaction should cement the fact that Everton will be signing a fullback during this summer’s transfer window. Several have been linked, including Germany’s Marvin Plattenhardt, who suddenly has a lot of free time on his hands. Marcel, you up?
