The future of Ademola Lookman could be decided this week as the Everton hierarchy hold talks with the talented winger.
The Mirror reports that new Everton boss Marco Silva will sit down with Lookman in the coming days to lay out his plans for the future.
Silva and director of football Marcel Brands are actively looking to lower the wage bill this summer but Lookman is not among those they are looking to sell. In fact, Lookman is just to sort of exciting youngster Silva and Brands want to build their new-look team around.
The 20-year-old is likely to want to receive assurances about first-team football next campaign after a frustrating season last time out.
The former Charlton youngster made just five starts during the first half of the season before being loaned out to RB Leipzig.
Lookman flourished in Germany, making 11 appearances in the league, scoring five goals and registering three assists, with RB Sporting director Ralf Ragnick later publicly stating his desire to sign the winger on a permanent basis.
That alarmed Toffees fans who are desperate to see Lookman given a chance in the first-team back at Goodison.
Brands has already stated he wants Lookman in the first-team squad next season so we can only hope that these fresh talks will ease the youngster’s concerns and we will see him strutting his stuff in a royal blue shirt next season.
