The Blues are being linked with a couple of box-to-box midfielders -

One is a countryman of Idrissa Gueye’s. In fact, he might as well be a clone of Gana, in which case, why do we want him? [RBM]

The big news of the day though was Marcel Brands somehow converting Ramiro Funes Mori into a cool £17 million. Wow. [RBM]

Funes Mori was popular with the fans, not least because of his propensity for barbecue. [RBM]

His passion for the Blues and a crunching tackle remained undimmed in his Everton career, and the fans will wish him well in his time at Villarreal.
