Everton open 2018-19 Premier League season with away trip to Wolves

Everton can feel relieved for the most part after being handed an easier start to the 2018-19 season on paper at least than last year. The Blues will open the season with a trip away to runaway Championship winners Wolverhampton Wanderers, and don’t play a top six side until the sixth game of the season away at Arsenal.

The first leg of the Merseyside Derby will be away at Anfield in December, with the return leg at home at Goodison coming up in March. December also looks to be a challenging month with the usual fixture congestion as well as playing three top six sides, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur back-to-back in the middle of the month.

The Toffees will close out the season with a home game against Burnley followed by away at Spurs in the last weekend.
