Everton could be looking to muscle in on Watford FC’s move for Bologna defender Adam Masina, according to Corriere di Bologna and reported by SportWitness.
With Marcel Brands and Marco Silva now confirmed as manager and Director of Football respectively work is underway to reshape the Blues squad this summer.
Adding in defence is likely to be among their priorities, particularly at left back, where Everton struggled last season when they lost Leighton Baines for a significant part of the campaign.
They now appear to be seeking to muscle in on Watford’s move for Bologna full back Masina according to reports originating from Italy.
Corriere di Bologna report that the Hornets are close to securing a £7 million deal and have already held discussions with the player over a move.
Watford’s interest originates from Marco Silva’s time in charge and with him now at Goodison Park the Blues are being linked with making a late swoop to try and scupper the deal.
The link, though, is tenuous at best and this rumour appears to be more down to that connection to Silva rather than any genuine interest on Everton’s behalf. Oh well.
