RB Leipzig have indicated that despite there being no option to buy inserted in the loan deal for Everton winger Ademola Lookman, they would like to keep him on a permanent basis after this season, and today he showed why exactly.

Lookman opened the scoring for the Bundesliga side and then added the third as they romped to a 4-1 win over Wolfsburg and maintained their tenuous hold on sixth spot, just a point ahead of Eintracht Frankfurt with one game left in the season. Hoffenheim occupy the last Champions League spot in fourth and are tied in points with Bayer Leverkusen in fifth, just two points ahead of Leipzig so it’s all to play for next week.

The young winger found playing opportunities hard to come by under Sam Allardyce at Everton and chose to go out on loan to Germany despite the club preferring he stay in the country. Everton would do well to try and hold on to a player who is becoming one of the hottest properties in the game.
