Allardyce heckled mercilessly in Everton loss

Blues hammered in poor away performance

It didn’t take long at all. Just a few minutes into Everton’s away game at West Ham United the traveling support got started.

Large sections of the away fans started singing “F*** off Sam Allardyce interspersed with chants of “You’re getting sacked in the morning”.

That rage continued to simmer on as the first half progressed, especially after West Ham scored. The initial minutes of the second half calmed things down as the substitution on of Davy Klaassen helped the Blues get back into the game.

However, the chanting started up again, louder than before when he took off Cenk Tosun, and it got worse a couple of minutes later following Marko Arnautovic scoring the Hammers second.

Even the West Ham fans, who had to tolerate Allardyce themselves not so long ago got into the act, taunting the Toffees as they sang “You’ve got Sam Allardyce” completely non-ironically considering they have David Moyes as their manager.

His post-match press conference was short at only three-and-a-half minutes, and he only answered one question about the game -

“We could have easily acquired a draw, but I think the quality of West Ham’s two second half goals was the difference.”

(full quotes to follow)

Aside from speaking about Wayne Rooney (no updates), in his comments Allardyce’s only statement about his future was -

“Whenever one of the board decides to tell me I’ll know.”

Over to you Everton Board, do the right thing.
