For most of the season, predicting Everton has been...well...predictable.
If the Toffees were playing away from Goodison Park, the smart money was on a loss, with maybe a draw at best. This held true regardless of the opponent, as Everton had struggled mightily on its travels.
But, with recent results away from Goodison — a draw at Swansea and a victory at Stoke — that conventional knowledge may be on its way to changing as the season draws to a close. But before we look ahead to the Huddersfield Town match on Saturday, let’s look back at Monday’s victory against Newcastle.

Five writers correctly predicted an Everton victory, though none by the correct score. Only Chris got Theo Walcott correct as the opening scorer, and only Tom got Seamus Coleman correct as the Twitter & RBM-voted man of the match.
There weren’t too many points earned this week, but the ones earned made a big difference in our prediction league standings.

Mike once again closed the gap on Calvin atop the table, and the two are tied with just three matches to play.
The first of those deciding matches is Saturday’s trip to Huddersfield Town. The Terriers are in pretty middling form, as they have been for much of the season, but they sit six points above the drop zone nonetheless.
A win for Huddersfield would all but assure them a place in the Premier League next season, giving them substantially more to play for than the Toffees this weekend. Yet, only one writer has the Terriers winning the match.

The votes for an Everton win and draw are split five a piece, with me as the only dissenter predicting a Huddersfield win. Theo Walcott and Cenk Tosun remain popular choices to open the scoring and walk away with man of the match honors. Interestingly, Morgan Schneiderlin also received two man of the match predictions, a tangible sign of his continued resurgence.
