The thought of Arsene Wenger becoming Everton’s next manager has my head spinning. The man is an all-time great coach. He has assembled some of the finest teams and worked with some of the most talented players in the history of England’s top flight. But he’s also 68 years old and his stubbornness seems to increase by the day.
Everton could certainly do a lot worse than handing the reins to the Frenchman, but after last summer’s big spending turned epic failure , another splash like this will be under even more scrutiny.
