For a while, Everton were the only team City couldn’t beat. Can they recreate last season’s 4-0 win?

Manchester City are going to be Premier League champions this season. Heck, they might even be champions of Europe too. But for whatever reason, Everton seems to be the one that one club that routinely gives the Cityzens trouble, which could make a for a compelling match on Saturday.

Going back over two years to a League Cup match-up in January 2016, these two sides have met six times. The Toffees have won twice, drawn three times and lost to City just once. Included in that run was a 4-0 drubbing at Goodison Park in favor of the hosts. Despite the team’s struggles overall, Everton has made The Grand Old Lady into a fortress these days.
