How important is stability in football? For Everton, the hope is that the answer is “not very”. The senior team has had three managers this season alone. It sure sounds like there will be a different man in charge this summer and he could be joined by a new director of football as well.
I’m not advocating for Big Sam to stick around, and Ronald Koeman certainly seemed lost at the end of his reign. But there is a part of me that wonders if the players are able to deal with the constantly shuffling of staff. Continuity has to matter at least a little bit.
