Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp went into a bizarre rant about Premier League scheduling during his pre-match press conference earlier today following the announcement of his side’s Champions League opponent.
The Reds will take on Manchester City in the first leg of their quarter final on Wednesday evening, and is livid that the Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park has been moved forward to an early kickoff the following Saturday.
Klopp: 'I am already angry... I hear that they have moved the game against Everton to 1230pm after playing on the Wednesday. I know countries where they cancel fixtures ahead of the CL'

Strange comments from the man considering that the only travel involved is going across Stanley Park.
And it’s even odder when you take into consideration that they might have to play the return leg of the quarter final on either Tuesday or Wednesday the following week, so moving the Everton clash either way is going to rob Peter to pay Paul.
As for canceling fixtures, this is the same manager who has moaned non stop since the day he landed in England about fixture congestion. If the Premier League even dared to postpone the Derby he’ll be right up there crying that his side had to play too many games towards the end of a long season.
But that’s what you get trying to explain logic to a deluded Kopite, I guess. We’ll see you and your Reds bright and early on Saturday.
