There was no shortage of drama for Everton’s out-on-loan players this weekend, with goals for two players and a red card for another.
Below we run through all the action.
The Youngsters
Henry Onyekuru
Galatasaray are floundering of late, with the Turkish giants a lowly seventh in the Super Lig.
Onyekuru kept his place on the wing, though, for their 2-2 home draw with Rizespor, but was brought off on 76 minutes.
Antonee Robinson
Out for the foreseeable after undergoing surgery.
Callum Connolly
Emerged from the bench on the half-hour mark after Wigan were reduced to 10-men. Couldn’t stop them from falling to a 1-0 defeat at home to Derby though
Nikola Vlasic
Grabbed his 7th goal of the campaign, as he played the full 90 – and impressed once more – in CSKA’s 2-1 win over Yenisey Krasnoyarsk.
Joe Williams
Played the full 90 minutes in the middle of the park for Bolton, but couldn’t prevent them from slipping to a 3-2 defeat to Norwich.
Matthew Pennington
Lined up for Ipswich as the Tractor Boys were cut further adrift at the bottom of the Championship following a 2-0 defeat at Stoke.
The Deadwood
Ashley Williams
Played the full 90 minutes of Stoke’s 2-0 win over Ipswich.
Cuco Martina
Played alongside Williams for Stoke.
Luke Garbutt
On the bench for Oxford again.
Shani Tarashaj
Injured…
Kevin Mirallas
Mirallas came off the bench to score a last minute equaliser for Fiorentina in their 3-3 draw at Sassuolo – his first of the campaign.
Mo Besic
Besic was given his marching orders after just 21 minutes in Boro’s 1-1 draw at home to Blackburn.
The Bosnian midfielder was disposed when toying with the ball in his own half and then pulled back the Blackburn striker as he bore down on goal. Besic received a straight red and Rovers scored from the resulting free kick to add insult to injury.
Yannick Bolasie
Kept his place on the left wing for Villa as they held local rivals West Bromwich Albion to a somewhat controversial 2-2 draw.
Sandro Ramirez
Appeared at half-time for Real Sociedad who fell to a disappointing 2-1 defeat at home to Real Valladolid. Still no goals for the Spaniard.
