Recapping all the Everton news from yesterday

As we get closer to the January transfer window, the rumours have started ramping up - we have not one, not two, but three separate youngsters linked with the Blues.

Leeds United’s young defender Tom Pearce is being linked with a move away, and Everton have been named. Considering the Toffees have Lucas Digne replacing Leighton Baines and young Antonee Robinson waiting in the wings, this one sounds quite unlikely. [HITC]

Nigerian-born teenager George Bello is starting to light it up in the MLS (we did a piece on him previously), and Everton are apparently interested, but once again he’s a left back and this seems odd. [TalkSport]

Everton already have a Nigerian winger in Henry Onyekuru, and now another one is being mentioned - Samuel Kalu of Bordeauz. [All Nigeria Soccer]

Steven Gerrard has been scouting Kieran Dowell with a view to a loan move in January. [HITC]

Michael Keane’s foot injury last season almost turned into a nightmare where it might have ended in an amputation! [Liverpool Echo]

Could Marco Silva give Yerry Mina a start at centrehalf this weekend since Kurt Zouma will not be able to play against Chelsea next weekend? [The Argus]

The latest episode of ‘Player Cam’ features Brazilian prodigy Richarlison as the camera follows him around at Finch Farm.

What To Watch

Everton’s interest in the League Cup has ended but the competition continues with Burton Albion playing Nottingham Forest and AFC Bournemouth taking on Norwich City.

After the terrible accident at Leicester City over the weekend, their home game against Southampton has been postponed. Had the Blues won their penalty shootout against the Saints, that would have been them there.
