Your daily dose of Everton news and rumours

Everton are back in action today, this time in the Third Round of the Carabao Cup. Keep it here for all the previews, interviews, match coverage, recaps and analysis from the game.

Let’s start with a completely unsubstantiated rumour that started doing the rounds late yesterday. Nowadays most of the English footballing world and especially Everton fans are hanging onto every word uttered by business magnate Alisher Usmanov as he decides where to take his fortune.

The word on social media is that in an interview with television channel ‘Russia 1’, he said that he was looking to come in and help out his friend and business partner Farhad Moshiri, the majority shareholder at the Toffees.

We searched high and low on the internet and were unable to find a full transcript of said interview. We did find some quotes from this interview, but Everton are not mentioned in it at all. Let’s see what today brings on this front.
