With all the injury issues Everton have already had this season the international breaks always prove to be a minefield to navigate. Unfortunately, it appears the Blues will not come out unscathed from this one either, following the news that Idrissa Gueye had to leave a game with an injury just minutes before the half.
The Everton midfielder has played well in the last couple of wins, with his stellar all-round performance against Fulham winning him many plaudits from the Goodison faithful.
Idrissa Gueye played 44 minutes and scored Senegal’s second in a 3-0 win over Sudan. Idrissa limped off injured in the 44th minute. Fingers crossed he’s okay and it’s not too bad pic.twitter.com/pVmtPu2qqZ— The Toffee Blues (@EvertonNewsFeed) October 13, 2018
Senegal beat Sudan 3-0 yesterday in an Africa Cup of Nations Group A qualifier, with Gana netting the second goal, also his second international goal following his first during the World Cup.
At around the 40th minute mark it appears a Sudanese player went sliding in on the player, catching him on the ankle. He hobbled off minutes later and was seen limping around the bench area during the second half without too much discomfort, so hopefully it’s just precautionary.

Andre Gomes has returned to full training and featured in a closed-doors friendly recently so he could get the call for the Blues next game, at home against Crystal Palace on Saturday, should Gueye be not fully fit by then.
