England were never going to be seriously challenged by Andorra today in their 2019 UEFA European Under-21 Championship Qualifier at Chesterfield, and the Young Lions cruised to an easy win today.

With the number of Premier League players here, this England Under-21 side could prove to be a handful for a number of senior international sides.

Four Everton players made it into the starting lineup - Jonjoe Kenny, Tom Davies, Ademola Lookman and Dominic Calvert-Lewinm and within eight minutes, England were ahead thanks to the first three of those Blues.

Davies had time in the opponents’ area to find Kenny streaking forward down on the right, and his precise pass to Lookman found him in space in the box. The winger showed a lot of composure to make room and beat the goalie with a precise finish.

The Young Lions continued to dominate, and on 27 minutes Lewis Cook’s shot was too hot to handle for the Andorran keeper, and Ezri Konsa fired home the rebound. Konsa’s name should be familiar to Blues, with the Brentford defender linked with the Blues in the last year.

Soon after Lookman turned provider down the right wing to allow Calvert-Lewin to fire home at the stroke of halftime, and there was no letting up after the break either. Konsa was fouled in the box from a Ryan Sessegnon corner and Calvert-Lewin stepped up and dispatched the spotkick to make it 4-0 after 48 minutes.

Calvert-Lewin, Lookman and Kenny came off on 75 minutes with the game virtually won at that point. DCL’s replacement Dominic Solanke rounded the goalie late to add a fifth before Reiss Nelson scored a pretty goal and got a seventh through an own goal to seal qualification for the European tourney to be held next summer in Italy and San Marino.
