Your daily dose of Everton news and rumours

Like we wrote about a couple of days ago, Marco Silva’s decision to use Richarlison as striker is having a major fallout, especially in the fickle Turkish media. Now ‘sources’ are saying that Cenk Tosun is unhappy with the rumours that he’s looking for a return to Turkey, and is committed to the Blues. [Turkish Football]

Who would you say was your Everton Player of the Month for September? We gave it to Lucas Digne, and tell you why here. [RBM]

Not only was the Blues’ best player last month, the stats are showing that he is actually one of the best in the Premier League too. [RBM]

Digne’s excellent month also saw him return to the France fold after he missed out on a World Cup medal (and bejewelled ring, apparently, thanks to one Paul Pogba) this summer, and he is very grateful to the Toffees for that. [EFC]

Former manager and Everton Giant Joe Royle has joined the Board at Wigan Athletic. Good move for the Latics. [BBC]

Another former player, Richard Dunne, recalls the days that he was a teenager playing for the Blues for £200/week and loving every minute of it, unlike today’s kids. [Independent]

Since there is no possible way you can already be tired of watching this, here you go again, Gylfi Sigurdsson in all his glory.

What To Watch

There’s a full slate of Nations’ League games today, with Poland against Portugal and Russia vs Sweden the pick of the ties.

There’s also a number of friendlies being played, and some with Evertonian interest with Turkey playing Bosnia & Herzegovina, France taking on Iceland and USA playing Colombia. Wales play Spain in what should also be a good game.

England’s Under-21s play Andorra in what should be a romp for a number of young Blues.
