Despite missing nearly a month with a terrifying skull fracture, Michael Keane remains the biggest goal threat of all defenders from setpieces in the Premier League this season.
A report by The Scout on Fantasy Premier League shows that the Everton centrehalf leads all other defenders by far when it comes to creating chances in the opposing half. The hulking 6’2” defender has only scored once this season, but has had 12 chances, all from headers.
Coming in in second place is Chelsea pair Marcos Alonso and Anton Rudiger with 8 chances apiece with another three players in third.

Keane | 6 | 12 | 12 | 12 | 1 |
Alonso | 8 | 8 | 5 | 1 | 0 |
Rüdiger | 8 | 8 | 8 | 5 | 0 |
Kabasele | 8 | 7 | 7 | 6 | 0 |
Balbuena | 8 | 7 | 7 | 6 | 0 |

Of note is that Kurt Zouma, Keane’s partner in the Toffees backline, is actually taller than him by an inch, and new signing Yerry Mina is a full three inches taller as well, which could make Everton very difficult to deal with from setpieces going forward. Ironically though, the Blues are yet to score from a corner this season, something that Marco Silva would love to see remedied sooner than later.
