As we suspected might happen all along, Everton’s Bosnian midfielder Muhamed Besic has departed the club at the close of the January window.
The defensive midfielder, 25, has joined up with Tony Pulis at Middlesbrough in the Championship.

Boro are currently eighth in the Championship, just three points back of a playoff spot for the opportunity to play for a place in the Premier League.
It is unclear whether or not Pulis’ club has the option to buy Besic at the end of this loan.
“Mo”, a relentless, dogged player, made 56 career appearances for Everton, totaling 3,162 minutes. Registering no goals and no assists, the Bosnian accumulated 14 yellow cards, thanks to his aggressive style of play.
It’s not quite the Goodison Park legacy he will have envisioned, but Besic leaves Finch Farm with the well-wishes of Everton fans. When he was on the pitch, Mo gave his all for the club. Good luck, Muhamed!
