WATCH: Theo Walcott scores his first (and second!) Everton goals

Easy tap-in for his first goal, better finish for his second as a Blue

Everton’s second signing of the January transfer window, Theo Walcott, has put the Blues up at home against Leicester City, scoring his first goal as a Toffee.

He was off to a rocky start, getting into a knee-on-knee collision early in the game but continued despite being in some discomfort.

However he was on the ball, so to speak when a chance came to him, neatly slotting beyond Kasper Schmeichel just before the half hour mark.

The Blues goal came from a counter attack of all things - the Foxes had a corner that Everton cleared and charged down the pitch, but it looked like the move had fizzled out when up popped everyone’s favourite villain Cuco Martina.

He dispossessed Ben Chilwell on the right of the Foxes box, passing to Gylfi Sigurdsson who saw Walcott wide open in the left channel. The Icelander’s pass was precise, as was Theo’s finish for his first Everton goal!

Walcott wasn’t done there either, popping up again to slot home after a lovely cross into the box by Wayne Rooney was headed across the goal by Michael Keane.
