At least he’s getting a chance to play.

Also, don’t trust Sam Allardyce, or anyone at Everton.

Ademola Lookman’s future at Everton, this season at least, was looking to be quite uncertain once Theo Walcott came in. Aaron Lennon got shipped out, but you got the feeling that with Yannick Bolasie back game time would be quite limited for youngsters like Lookman and Nikola Vlasic.

Allardyce meanwhile looked like he had no time for Lookman, and barely gave him a look at the senior squad. The young winger did get to play the dead rubber Europa League clash at Apollon Limassol where he shined with a brace, but that was it.

He did make the bench for the scoreless draw at West Brom, a game that was crying out for his talents. Lookman was also on the bench for the 4-0 humiliation at Wembley against Tottenham Hotspur, but even with the game well and truly lost, he stayed rooted to the bench.

Here’s wishing Ade all the very best at RB Leipzig, an offensively-minded club where one-time Everton manager candidate Ralf Rangnick is Director of Sports. We’ll continue to keep tabs on his progress like we do here on all loan players.
