Final Verdict
For the first twenty minutes Everton looked abysmal as the visitors dominated play and even hit the woodwork. However, for a scintillating spell after that, the Blues dominated possession, moved the ball around with ease and ran into spaces as they tore the visitors apart racing into a two-goal lead thanks to Theo Walcott, who could have had more as should Oumar Niasse really.
A silly penalty given up by Wayne Rooney late in the game allowed the Foxes back into the clash, and set up a thrilling finale where Leicester hit the woodwork two more times but failed to find the equalizer.
Whew, what a thriller, but even more importantly, a very important three points against the team in seventh place.
Now let’s see how we end Deadline Day.
