We are well and truly into the second half of the season. Right now, Everton’s summer of spending in 2017 sure seems like a waste of time. Jordan Pickford looks to be quite a find. That’s fair. But Wayne Rooney and Gylfi Sigurdsson can’t play together. Davy Klaassen has gone missing. Sandro Ramirez can’t get on track. And Michael Keane can’t stay healthy. The club has a problem, but throwing money at it won’t help. The scouting teams need to be seriously analyzed. You can afford to miss on a guy like Sandro, but not with the big bucks being thrown to Keane and Klaassen.
