Final Verdict
Everton started this game like they have multiple others this campaign - disjointed, uncoordinated and mostly unwilling to put in the hard work. West Brom for their part came ready to play and scored early from yet another defensive error by the Blues, and were good value for their lead at the break.
The Blues looked much better in the second half, but a hush fell over the stadium after James McCarthy looked to have sustained a horrific injury not unlike what happened to Seamus Coleman.
When the game resumed, Wayne Rooney found new signing Theo Walcott at the back post, and his header was volleyed home by Oumar Niasse to tie the game.
