Ronald Koeman provided an update today on the injury status of Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, saying that he would be back in the lineup for this weekend’s game against Tottenham Hotspur.
The goalie had been called up for England action during the international break, with a chance of getting his first senior cap but was then sent back to Finch Farm for a pre-existing thigh injury which he picked up in the Blues’ last game at Chelsea.
Koeman also added that the Toffees’ newest signing Nikola Vlasic will go right into the matchday squad. He said that the forward was on Everton’s radar even before the Toffees played Hajduk Split in the Europa League playoff round, calling Vlasic one of the biggest talents in Europe.
Koeman on Vlasic: One of the biggest talents in Europe in my opinion. Impressed me for Hajduk with his quality. #EFC
