Chelsea are moving closer towards signing striker Fernando Llorente, taking away another potential Everton transfer. With the transfer window closing in just over a day and a half, it’s getting pretty tight for the Blues now.
As reported by Spanish journalist Eduardo Fernandez-Abascal in the Diario AS, the center forward will move to Stamford Bridge from Swansea City for close to €15m, lured by the prospect of working with his former manager at Juventus Antonio Conte.

Everton meanwhile continue to look for two key pieces, a striker and a left-sided defender for back-up. These needs have been consistent all summer long, so it is quite odd that we are here the afternoon before Deadline Day and these two spots are still vacant, considering how proactive the Blues were early on in the transfer window with identifying players who solved needs and then acting to get them signed.
With Watford FC reject Stefano Okaka the only other available option that the Toffees have been linked to, it’s starting to look like a distinct possibility that is who we’ll be seeing in royal blue tomorrow.
