Goalkeeper kits are often an afterthought in the realm of kit design, with most manufacturers choosing to focus their creative energies on the home and away outfield players’ kits.
However, Wycombe Wanderers in the English lower divisions have approached this in a completely different manner this season. When giving kit manufacturer O’Neills their design brief for the upcoming season, the League Two side asked the designers to go a different way.

Speaking to the Telegraph during the kit unveiling, goalkeeper coach and the team’s backup goalie Barry Richardson said -
"There's been a lot of research into the science behind goalkeeper kits, which is why you see a lot of luminous colours and chevron patterns which enlarge the presence of the 'keeper in the goal.
"We've developed that idea over the past couple of years, with a bright lime and green design last year, and have enjoyed working with O'Neills to come up with these designs which we hope will be effective on the pitch and also be popular for fans who'd like to buy the replica versions."
In all honesty, no one ever buys goalie jerseys, so this is a really smart way to get those flying off the shelves. And that goes for Everton too, who have their fair share of some horrendous goalkeeper kits over the years, no matter who the shirt manufacturer.

So what do you think Blues, would you like to see Jordan Pickford in ‘something psychedelic that will draw the eye of the opposition’, and have ‘a disruptive magic-eye effect’ on the other team’s players as they bear down on Everton’s goal?
