Once coveted Brazilian prospect rumored to join Everton

Inter flop linked with half the Premier League - for some reason.

At one point in time, not very long ago, many football fans were having to google the difference between Gabriel Jesus and Gabigol. Well, that’s just not a problem anyone faces anymore. The City starlet flashed brilliance during his time under Pep and promised great things to come. Gabigol played 113 minutes for Inter, scored one goal, and never started a game. Ouch.

However, the kid is still only 20 years old. All that potential just didn’t vanish, so for someone willing to invest a little time and money into the project, who knows, maybe he can still be something.

The consequence of all this is that every English Premier League team with money and any kind of striker need is being linked with him. According to Bleacher Report and Dean Jones, everyone from Everton to Swansea is apparently after him.

Let’s cut to the chase, Everton already has their young striker from this window in Sandro Ramirez. There doesn’t seem to be any serious possibility that we are going to run Rooney and two kids as our 9s this year. Frankly, the young striker we do have has given more reason for optimism and promise than Gabigol has, this rumor is dead in the water.

Everton needs a striker, but high quality players like Olivier Giroud and Edin Dzeko have been linked with that need. Everton has the money and willingness to go after them. We don’t need the garbage of a team that quite frankly isn’t anywhere near as good as we are.
