Romelu Lukaku Thanks Everton Fans Ahead of Manchester United Move

Though the move is not official, Romelu Lukaku has thanked Everton fans with an Instagram post this evening. The Belgian striker is set to move to Manchester United for a record fee this week and he took to Instagram to thank the fans.

Ever since the impending move was announced my Manchester United last week the expectation was that he would be unveiled on Monday morning in the United States where Manchester United has started preseason camp.

Despite the misplaced anger and frustration from Everton fans, Lukaku’s farewell message was a nice gesture to the club that put him on the path to stardom. Though Lukaku was thought of as a promising youngster while at Chelsea, his time at Everton made him a star.

Now Everton can officially turn to finding his replacement. With Wayne Rooney officially arriving today many Everton fans will now wonder who the next striker brought into the club will.
