Gerard Deulofeu’s future remains undecided. It appears that Everton manager Ronald Koeman feels that there’s no room for him at USM Finch Farm. Meanwhile Barcelona, who have the first refusal on the player should the Blues choose to sell him, also seem undecided on whether they want him or not.

He recently scored his first ever international goal for the Spain national team, and is in the squad once again for tomorrow’s game against Colombia.

Speaking to the media ahead of the game, he said -

"It is time to think about the national team. It's true that it will be a busy summer but I'm with Spain and it would not be good to talk about the future. As professionals we have to think about the present. If you think beyond that you are wrong.

"We think of Colombia and getting Macedonia. Then we will see what happens with my future. I'm calm. I am going to try to help the national team and then we will have to make the best decision for my future. Maybe I have thought about the future sometimes. Now I am living a good moment and I want to enjoy it, only thinking about the national team."

Deulofeu scored four goals and picked up three assists in 17 Serie A games on loan for AC Milan since January this year, but Koeman is likely unmoved by what he has seen. Milan have expressed interest in making his deal permanent, but nothing concrete has been discussed.

Meanwhile back in the Premier League, this could be West Ham United’s best chance to finally sign the player they have been tracking for a few years now, having expressed interest in the Spaniard in 2013 and then as recently as in March of this year.

It has been reported that Barca can re-sign Deulofeu as long as it is done before July 2017 as part of the terms of his original £4.2m transfer to Everton two years ago.
