*UPDATE 12:30PM BST*: Dominic King of the Mail is reporting that Everton have completed the signing of the player late last night, with the medical done at USM Finch Farm yesterday.

Everton are in talks to sign striker Henry Onyekuru from Eupen, according to Paul Joyce.

The 20-year-old lit up the Jupiler League last season with a series of impressive performances, scoring 24 goals in 41 games in all competitions.

That has naturally caught the attention of a number of clubs across Europe with several thought to be keen on a move for him.

Two in the Premier League have already been linked, with Arsenal and West Ham United both believed to be in the hunt for his signature.

It now appears Everton have joined that chase, with Joyce reporting the Blues are in talks with his club about a possible move.

At the moment no fee has been mentioned, although reports last week were suggesting Arsenal would be paying around £6.8 million for him so a similar fee is likely to be involved in this deal.

Joyce does however say that Everton’s aim is to sign Onyekuru and then loan him out immediately to another club, with Anderlecht named specifically as where he would be heading.
