Everton are interested Anderlecht midfielder Leander Dendoncker, according to Belgian newspaper Het Belang van Limburg.

The Blues are currently busy in the transfer window, with moves for Jordan Pickford and Davy Klaassen set to be completed in the coming days.

Similarly, negotiations are still on-going with forward Sandro Ramirez about a possible move from Malaga and Burnley’s Michael Keane is thought to be a key target.

It appears their business will be extensive given Director of Football Steve Walsh has been pictured in Italy heading to discussions with both AC Milan and Inter Milan.

One man who may be on their hitlist is Dendoncker, with Het Beland van Limburg reporting that both Everton and Atletico Madrid are interested in his signature.

The 22-year-old has established himself as one of the key men in Anderlecht’s midfield, helping his team to secure the Belgian title last season.

They are not keen to lose their man, though, especially after Youri Tielemans move to Monaco, and have reportedly set a £33 million price tag on his head.

That is unlikely to be a fee Everton would be willing to pay, especially given the number of options they currently have in the centre of midfield. However, were someone to leave, a move could make sense.

That man could be James McCarthy, who has been linked with a £20 million switch to Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion in recent weeks.
