Reputable football correspondent Paul Joyce has confirmed that Everton are in talks with Malaga striker Sandro Ramirez over a transfer to Goodison Park. The famed La Masia Barcelona Academy product had a stellar year scoring 16 goals in 31 appearances in La Liga and the Copa del Rey.

Earlier today, an Everton fan tweeted that he believed he’d seen the forward at the iconic Titanic Hotel in Liverpool, following reports in yesterday’s papers that the player was expected on Merseyside for in-person discussion.

Sandro was released from Barca at the beginning of the 2016-17 season on a free transfer. He has a total of 32 appearances with the Blaugrana, scoring seven goals with a further 15 for the Barca B team in 61 games.

At just 21, the player has room to improve as can be seen in the radar chart below. He looks like as close to a like-for-like replacement for Lukaku as possible in this transfer market, and the Blues will do well to seal the deal with Atletico Madrid foiled by their transfer ban that’ll keep them out of this summer’s transfer window.

With the exit of Lukaku looking more than likely, how do you feel about Everton making the Spaniard the centerpiece of the Blues attack next season? Take a look at some La Liga highlights for the player this season and let us know in the comments if you think he’ll cut it in the Premier League.
