Romelu Lukaku has been named Everton Player and Players’ Player of the Season at the club’s end of season awards ceremony - The Dixies.
It’s no real surprise that the Belgium striker has collected the top awards given his remarkable goalscoring exploits this season.

Lukaku has scored 25 goals so far this campaign, 24 of those in the Premier League, putting him on course to become the first Everton player to win the Golden Boot since Gary Lineker in 1985.
He also became Everton’s Premier League record goalscorer earlier this campaign and earned himself nominations for the PFA Players’ Player and Young Player of the Year awards.
Speaking after collecting his Player of the Season award from Ronald Koeman, Lukaku said:
“The manager has really set the standard from day one. It’s been a good season, we've improved. For me, I think it’s probably my best yet.
I’ve tried my best this season and on Friday we will do everything we can to end the season in front of our fans on a high."
Lukaku’s goalscoring exploits have not gone noticed and his future at the club remains uncertain.
Despite lengthy negotiations that were allegedly “99.99” complete”, Lukaku told the club earlier this year that he doesn’t want to sign a new contract.
Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly interested in Lukaku, but with two years remaining on his contract Everton are willing to resist any offers.
