Swansea City won 1-0 at home to give themselves a huge boost in their relegation fight in Saturday’s late game. Everton continued to look limp as they see out the end of the Premier League season - while there is little to play for, how unmotivated the players look is a very disappointing sign for what has been a good campaign overall.
The home side have everything to play for as they look to save themselves from relegation, and had the better of the first half. Swansea took the lead with a scrappy goal, Fernando Llorente beating Phil Jagielka to a cross near the back post and Maarten Stekelenburg all at sea.

Ross Barkley came on at the half for Dominic Calvert-Lewin and the scolding the Toffees must have received from Ronald Koeman seemed to have made a difference as the Blues looked slightly less lethargic.
Everton picked themselves up for a frantic last fifteen minutes, but the hosts did just enough to keep the Blues out and get themselves a crucial three points.
