The main headlines of the week belonged to Aaron Lennon, who has been admitted to hospital to get help for a stress-related condition, and will subsequently miss the Everton game at Swansea City.

Morgan Schneiderlin’s hamstring injury will not keep him out for the remainder of the season Ronald Koeman said, but he will definitely miss today’s clash. James McCarthy is closer to returning but likely will only be ready for the Blues last game of the season, at Arsenal.

Seamus Coleman meanwhile has signed a new five-year deal with Everton despite being out for the rest of 2017 with a double leg break. Ramiro Funes Mori underwent knee surgery for a torn meniscus and will likely miss the rest of the season. Yannick Bolasie is also out for the rest of the calendar year.

For Saturday opponents Swansea, striker Fernando Llorente has recovered from a stomach bug and is fit to lead the Swans attack as they vie for Premier League survival. Wayne Routledge and Angel Rangel remain out for the Welsh team and Jefferson Montero is probably out for the season after getting injured last weekend.

On the positive side, Jack Cork, Martin Olsson and Leroy Fer are all fit again and should be in the matchday squad for Paul Clement.
