Whew, what a game! At times it looked like the goals scored would surpass the 6-3 game here against AFC Bournemouth recently, but Everton were able to shut Leicester City down in the last hour of the game and continue their excellent home winning streak.

The Blues have not found out it hard to score at Goodison Park in 2017, and created a hatful of goals today too. Tom Davies finished after an excellent run from Kevin Mirallas in the first minute of play. Phil Jagielka’s second goal in two weeks were sandwiched by a Romelu Lukaku header and rebound from a corner.

After a lung-bursting first half filled with end-to-end action, what would the second half bring with Everton leading 3-2?

Well, an early goal in the second half pretty much put the result beyond doubt, especially since Leicester looked like they were saving their energy for the midweek Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid.

The Foxes didn’t look as threatening when they had more possession, and the Blues were able to shepherd them out of the game and hold their lead. Final score 4-2 and Everton are now seven wins in seven games at Goodison in 2017.

Grade the Everton players in the poll below on how you think they did.
