An event that sometimes get forgotten about especially when the team has not finished the season very well, the Everton End of Season Awards is getting a facelift this season starting with a new name - ‘The Dixies’.

The name is of course an ode to the Everton great Dixie Dean who set all manner of scoring records for the club and League, many of which are unlikely to be ever broken.

The inaugural ceremony will be held in the historic Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on Tuesday, 9th May, which will allow nearly 1,300 fans to attend the nearly two hour-long show.

Everton’s first team squad along with the manager Ronald Koeman will be in attendance, along with famous names from the past. As is the wont in such celebrations there will live music and entertainment, special guests, player interviews and more.

There will be ten 'Dixies' handed out on the night - Player of the Season, Young Player of the Season, Player’s Player of the Season, Under-23 Player of Season, the Chairman’s Blueblood Award, the Howard Kendall Award and the Fan of the Year.

Another former player will join the pantheon of the Everton Giants and enter the club’s Hall of Fame. The Goal of the Season award will also be decided live. Finally, there will also be a new award this year - Individual Performance of the Season.

Tickets for the event go on sale Monday April 10th, and there will be a variety of different seating options available.
