Referee Neil Swarbrick will be in charge as Everton play their second game in four days, this time at Manchester United. This will be his second Everton game of the current season, having officiated eight Premier League games for the Blues overall, in which Everton are unbeaten.
He did send off Aiden McGeady in an FA Cup Third Round game in the 2014-15 season, which was also Everton’s only loss with Swarbrick in charge, a heart-stopping 9-8 penalty shootout loss away at West Ham United.
This season in the Premier League he has been conservative with his discipline, handing out 70 yellow cards and no dismissals in 18 games. Blues opponents on Tuesday Manchester United have only had him once this season, an easy away win at Swansea City.
