Everton travel to West Ham United and for once the Football Association has been intelligent enough to not have Anthony Taylor officiate the fixture. Instead, it’s going to be Roger East taking charge on Saturday.
This will be only the fifth time he has handled a Toffees game in the Premier League, with the Blues winning three and drawing two of those matches. The last Everton game he did was back in March 2016 as the Blues beat Aston Villa 3-1, who were well on their way to relegation at the time. He has been the fourth official multiple times at Goodison Park, including last weekend.
The Hammers had East for a 3-2 loss at home to Leicester City last month. Tomorrow will be only his third Premier League game involving the Irons, and they are yet to win with him officiating.

In eight Premier League matches that he has done this season, East has given out 26 yellow cards and 2 red cards. He had maintained that pace last season with 73 cautions in 25 games.
