Tom Davies set to sign new contract with Everton

He may have signed a new five year deal less than a year ago, but young Everton midfielder Tom Davies will be offered a new and improved contract by the club, according to reports.

Everton are ready to hand midfielder Tom Davies an improved contract to reward his impact in the first team, sources close to the club have told ESPN FC.

The deal should see the Englishman’s salary brought more into line with other members of the first team after the meteoric rise that’s seen him become one of the first names on Ronald Koeman’s team sheet.

Indeed, it’s difficult to imagine where the Blues would be today without Davies in the side. The ‘Ketwig Kaiser’ been one of the club’s most consistent performers, showing an uncanny ability to pick out a key pass, as well as contribute with a high defensive workrate.

Davies recently captained his English youth side, and it’s only a matter of time before he receives a call up to Gareth Southgate’s senior team.

Like other youngsters Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Ademola Lookman, Tom Davies is the future of Everton Football Club, and his performances this season have meant that the future has arrived sooner than we might have guessed.
