Leicester City winger Demarai Gray is unhappy with his current utilization at the Premier League’s defending champions, and could be looking for an exit this offseason. With a buyout figure of just £12m written into his contract, a move in the summer could be very likely for the pacy player.
The 20-year-old signed for the Foxes from Birmingham for £3.5m in January 2016, and after helping Leicester avoid relegation that season he went on to win the Premier League title with the club.
He has 33 appearances for Leicester this season, but 21 of those have been from the bench and the player has been reported to be frustrated by the lack of starting opportunities. The Foxes sit in a lowly fifteenth place in the League table, but are currently in the quarter-finals of the Champions League where they will take on Atletico Madrid over two legs next month.
Gray has 2 goals and 4 assists in the 33 games this season, and had 14 appearances with no goals and two assists between January 2016 and the end of last season.
Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are all being linked with interest in the winger. It does bear reminding that Gray was a Steve Walsh signing, and in his current role of Director of Football at the Toffees, he might be looking to get the player back at a cut rate considering Ademola Lookman was obtained for a similar amount in January.
