“Who is Graham Scott?” is the question most Everton fans will be asking in the build up to the game on Saturday against West Bromwich Albion.

The Football Association announced earlier in the week that Scott would be the referee for the Baggies trip to Goodison Park, an occasion that would mark the first time he has ever officiated an Everton game. It’ll be the second West Brom game for him, having been in charge for a 3- 1 home win over Watford in December.

Scott has mostly done Championship games this season, handling the officiating duties for ten games. In his five Premier League matches this season, he has given out 15 yellow cards and 1 red card.

The referee’s biggest moment this season came during the FA Cup Fifth Round a month ago when he booked Burnley’s controversial Joey Barton for scratching the face of non-League side Lincoln’s Terry Hawkridge. Lincoln went on to win that game and take on Arsenal today in the next round.
