The Sky Sports crew are spending the day at Everton’s training facility at USM Finch Farm, and presenter Jamie Carragher conducted an interview with striker Romelu Lukaku. However, what really raised eyebrows was the former Liverpool legend wearing an Everton warmup jersey ahead of and during the interview.

The betrayal backlash on Twitter was swift from the Reds.

This is of course referring to Liverpool’s new CEO Peter Moore who replaces Ian Ayre and is a self-professed fan of Everton.
Not all the replies were too civil, as can be expected on social media.

Many fans of both clubs might have forgotten, or never known, but Carragher grew up in an Everton-supporting household and was a Toffee himself for many years, and while he played for Merseyside Derby rivals Liverpool, has confessed his Everton fanhood often.

Oh well, nothing like a bit of nothing news really to spark up the old Blues-Reds rivalry again.
