Henry Onyekuru isn’t just a great young prospect by Everton standards, he’s one of the better up and coming prospects anywhere in Europe and clubs are starting to notice. According to Daily Post Nigeria, Barcelona, Ajax Amsterdam, PSV Eindhoven, Fiorentina and more have all scouted the winger in his latest game where he scored a winner for Anderlecht.
He currently has seven league goals for Anderlecht and has been a consistent player in their Champions League campaign, earning valuable experience that will see him playing on a much bigger stage in the near future. Check out his most recent finish:

Onyekuru made his international debut with the Nigerian Super Eagles in June, and will be working hard to earn a place representing them in next summer’s World Cup. If his form continues, we may be able to watch him there before seeing him with the Everton first team next year.
Obviously, there’s a number that Everton would sell him at, and we do not have a clear idea of what that is at the moment, but most likely the interest he is drawing poses no real threat of him leaving. At just twenty years old, Everton is going to wait and see what they have before moving him. However, drawing interest from clubs like Barcelona at his age is a promising sign.
However, we should keep this all in context, the links between him and the Catalan club are still very soft at this stage and our expectations should reflect that. He’s not going to be a star in the Premier League next season or probably even the season after that, but he undeniably has great potential, and is one of many reflections of the strong job of recruitment that Steve Walsh has done with respect to young players. In a rough year for Everton, this loanee is a definite bright spot.
