Everton will be without four players in the senior squad for the FA Cup game against Leicester City.

Goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg and midfielder James McCarthy are still out after getting injured in the Derby, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin had to leave the pitch with an ankle knock after barely a dozen minutes in the Blues’ last game on Monday against Southampton.

The fourth player out is not due to injury though - Idrissa Gueye is on international duty with Senegal at the Africa Cup of Nations and will not be available again for selection until the end of January at least.

Aaron Lennon is doubtful after being injured in his last game out but Bryan Oviedo is fit for selection again. New signing Ademola Lookman is cup-tied and cannot participate.

The same tournament has shorn Premier League champions and visitors Leicester City of African Footballer of the Year Riyad Mahrez, who was also named Premier League Player of the Year. Two other Foxes headed to Gabon include forward Islam Slimani and midfielder Daniel Amartey.

Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri has said that Jamie Vardy will start the game, having been suspended for the last three games. Danny Drinkwater should also be in starting lineup after fully recovering from a knee injury.
