Multiple news sources are now reporting that Everton have belatedly agreed a fee of £22m with Man United for Morgan Schneiderlin. The deal could reportedly rise to £24m with add-ons, equalling the fee United paid Southampton for Schneiderlin in 2015.
Everton have held a long-standing interest in the 27-year-old but negotiations have been painfully slow. Schneiderlin snubbed interest from West Brom in favour of a move to Goodison Park, but the club struggled to reach an agreement with the Red Devils.

Total deal, including add-ons is £24m. @ManUtd paid £25m to sign Schneiderlin from Southampton 18 months ago.

Ronald Koeman made his feelings known last weekend, publicly lambasting the board for their failure to complete deals for his chosen targets. The Toffees were reportedly haggling over just £2m, showing an unwillingness to increase their bid from £20m.
It is odd though that the Blues made such a big deal of what sounds like a paltry sum of money considering how willingly they came up with £11m for youngster Ademola Lookman just a few days ago.
However, Everton finally look to be edging this one over the line and Schneiderlin could sign in time for this weekend’s game against Manchester City.
