Everton manager Ronald Koeman was coy with the press earlier today on the status of the team’s right back Seamus Coleman.
Coleman hasn’t played a competitive game for the Blues as yet this season after being injured in the preseason, missing a month. He did make a comeback during the international break though, captaining the Republic of Ireland with a typically industrious performance.
"He’s ok. It’s a little bit tricky, he was out for around four weeks and he had some training sessions. It’s always a little difficult for the player because his position is between the club and the national team.
"But he was fit to play and he has come back without any reaction. He is now fit to start."
It remains to be seen on Monday now if ‘fit to start’ also means that he will regain his starting position as right back when the Toffees run out at the Stadium of Light against Sunderland.
