Everton are keenly following the fortunes of the Murphy brothers at Norwich City. The 21-year-old twins have been catching the eye with their performances lately, and a host of Premier Leagues are paying attention now.

The Toffees, West Bromwich Albion, Crystal Palace, Hull City and Swansea City have all sent scouts to watch the players at Carrow Road.

Jacob is known as a sharp finisher, and has scored five times this season in eight starts for the Canaries in all competitions. He can play both left wing and attacking midfield.

Josh plays mainly on the left wing but has spent time on the right as well. Everton fans will remember him well for the brilliant goal he scored last week to seal the victory for Norwich City at Goodison Park in the EFL Cup. He has four goals and four assists in eight appearances as well this season.

Both players have been with the Norwich youth teams since the 2012-13 season, and the pair have featured in the England youth setup at the U18, U19 and U20 levels (Josh has 2 goals in 14 caps, Jacob has 5 caps).

Josh spent the last two seasons on loan at Wigan Athletic and the MK Dons respectively, while Jacob has bounced around on loan between Coventry City, Colchester United, Scunthorpe United, Blackpool, Southend United and Swindon Town.

Norwich City can expect a number of clubs to make bids on the players in the January transfer window. The club will hope to sell if they can’t get them extended before that as they both have contracts expiring at the end of this current season.
